The Oberforsthof is located right in the middle of nature, just a few steps from the piste and the Alpendorf gondola station. Fun in the snow starts right outside the door – ideal for winter fans of all ages. Whether building snowmen in the garden, ski school, sports rental or the ski amadé, Austria’s largest ski area with 5 ski regions and 270 lifts – there are countless highlights on and off the slopes here.
We are passionate about winter sports – no wonder, as our ski cellar is just 100 meters from the Alpendorf valley station. Snow Space Salzburg with 70 lifts, 210 kilometers of slopes and 85 huts is right on our doorstep. Our home ski area, Snow Space Salzburg, is part of the XXL ski amadé ski area. With your lift pass you can also explore Flachau, Wagrain, Flachau-Winkl-Kleinarl and neighboring Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Grossarltal. Make the most of this opportunity – each area has its own charm. A total of 270 lifts and 780 kilometers of pistes await you for unlimited winter sports freedom.
There is hardly a gentler way for the little ones to discover winter sports than at the Oberforsthof. The children’s ski school and ski rental are right next to the hotel. If required, we can shuttle the children to the gondola station, where experienced ski instructors playfully introduce them to winter sports in the Kinderland and Snow Space. Mascot tomcat Carlo provides extra fun.

Not everyone likes the hustle and bustle on the slopes. That doesn’t matter, because there’s so much more to experience off-piste. By that we mean quiet winter sports classics such as cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing as well as tobogganing, ice skating and curling, romantic winter hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides, but also more exotic adventures such as fat biking in the snow or dog sledding. Much of this is possible right on our doorstep. Just let us inspire you. You’ll get all the information and support you need on site.

Of course, the mum would have created the best conditions for the offspring to experience as much security and happiness as possible. That's exactly why we call our newest luxury accommodation Suite Marie. It offers you a beautiful ambience, all the comforts and space you need to be happy. This includes a separate bedroom with king-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe and a cosy living room with sofa bed. Juniorsuite JohannaWith vision and dedication, Johanna Höllwart built this hotel together with her husband in 1965. Our Junior Suites reflect her esprit most vividly. That's why you can particularly enjoy life in these premium rooms: the furnished balcony opens up wide views of the valley, while inside everything invites you to curl up and enjoy. You don't know where to stretch out first - on the king-size bed, sofa, armchair or on the terrace/balcony. In addition, you can conjure up the most diverse lighting moods or discover the broad entertainment programme for yourself. Suite BarbaraThis stately suite is dedicated to the pioneer of the Höllwart hotel dynasty. The dimensions here are as large as her courage: In addition to the spacious bedroom with king-size bed and walk-in wardrobe, a separate living area with a large couch offers plenty of space for cosy get-togethers. The large, bright bathroom with separate WC also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of comfort and privacy. The suite owes its natural charm to the many wooden components in combination with indirect light and earthy colours.
